# Brain Training vs Lobe

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Lobe at 100% against Brain Training's 7%. Lobe also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Brain Training's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brain Training sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Lobe sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lobe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brain Training has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 7% of Brain Training's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lobe's.

Brain Training ships an update every 3 weeks, Lobe every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
