# Magic Animate vs Diff AI

The clearest difference is rating: Diff AI at 3.8 against Magic Animate's 2.6. Diff AI also leads on ratings volume (51 vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Magic Animate's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 15%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Animate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Diff AI sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Diff AI holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diff AI has 51 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Magic Animate's written reviews are positive against 15% of Diff AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Animate ships an update every 2 weeks, Diff AI fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
