# Instagig vs GhostPost

The clearest difference is rating: GhostPost at 4.8 against Instagig's 3.8. GhostPost also leads on ratings volume (742 vs 10) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Instagig's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GhostPost holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GhostPost has 742 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Instagig's written reviews are positive against 83% of GhostPost's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Instagig ships an update every 2 months, GhostPost fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
