# School Planner & Timetable vs Semester Stuff

The clearest difference is rating: Semester Stuff at 5.0 against School Planner & Timetable's 4.1. Semester Stuff also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). School Planner & Timetable's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. School Planner & Timetable sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Semester Stuff sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Semester Stuff holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: School Planner & Timetable has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

School Planner & Timetable ships an update every 3 days, Semester Stuff every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
