# TimeTill vs Nearing

The clearest difference is ads: Nearing at none against TimeTill's shown. Nearing also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). TimeTill's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeTill sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Nearing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TimeTill against 5.0 for Nearing. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeTill has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TimeTill ships an update fortnightly, Nearing every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
