# PingPong vs ZyNotes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PingPong at none against ZyNotes's 3. PingPong also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). ZyNotes's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ZyNotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. PingPong asks for nothing beyond the download.

PingPong holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZyNotes has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PingPong ships an update every 3 weeks, ZyNotes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
