# Screen Time Control vs Archivy

Screen Time Control and Archivy are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Screen Time Control sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Archivy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Time Control ships an update every 8 days, Archivy every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
