# DeWatch vs ShedAI

The clearest difference is monetization model: DeWatch at free with in-app purchases against ShedAI's subscription. DeWatch also leads on ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DeWatch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $21.99 per year and ShedAI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for DeWatch against 5.0 for ShedAI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DeWatch has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DeWatch ships an update fortnightly, ShedAI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
