# Frequency vs TuningForkPlus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Frequency at none against TuningForkPlus's 3. Frequency also leads on ratings volume (340 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). TuningForkPlus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TuningForkPlus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Frequency asks for nothing beyond the download.

TuningForkPlus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frequency has 340 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Frequency ships an update fortnightly, TuningForkPlus every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
