# Frequency vs Plonk

The clearest difference is rating: Frequency at 4.7 against Plonk's 1.0. Frequency also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). Plonk's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plonk sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Frequency asks for nothing beyond the download.

Frequency holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frequency has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Frequency ships an update fortnightly, Plonk every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
