# 999th Hero vs Idle Skeleton

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 999th Hero at 60% against Idle Skeleton's 29%. 999th Hero also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Idle Skeleton's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 999th Hero sells 23 one-off in-app purchases and Idle Skeleton sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Idle Skeleton holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idle Skeleton has 265 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of 999th Hero's written reviews are positive against 29% of Idle Skeleton's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

999th Hero ships an update fortnightly, Idle Skeleton every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
