# FTC Scouting vs FTRunner

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FTC Scouting at none against FTRunner's 1. FTC Scouting also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). FTRunner's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTRunner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FTC Scouting asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FTC Scouting against 5.0 for FTRunner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTC Scouting has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FTC Scouting ships an update fortnightly, FTRunner every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on June 24, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
