# Atomic vs SimpleTask

The clearest difference is ads: SimpleTask at none against Atomic's shown. SimpleTask also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Atomic's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Atomic sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SimpleTask sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Atomic ships an update fortnightly, SimpleTask every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
