# Math Notes vs NoteGuide

Math Notes and NoteGuide are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Math Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and NoteGuide sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math Notes ships an update every 3 days, NoteGuide every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
