# PDFr vs PDF Converter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PDFr at 93% against PDF Converter's 0%. PDFr also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). PDF Converter's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (33 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDFr sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PDF Converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDFr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Converter has 33 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of PDFr's written reviews are positive against 0% of PDF Converter's.

PDFr ships an update every 3 months, PDF Converter every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
