# RosyRead vs Waread

The clearest difference is update cadence: RosyRead at every 3 days against Waread's every 3 weeks. RosyRead also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RosyRead sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Waread sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RosyRead holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 54 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of RosyRead's written reviews are positive against 76% of Waread's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RosyRead ships an update every 3 days, Waread every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
