# Shortcut Archive vs Snap Timeline

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Snap Timeline at 100% against Shortcut Archive's 36%. Snap Timeline also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Shortcut Archive's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 3.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shortcut Archive sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Snap Timeline asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shortcut Archive holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortcut Archive has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Shortcut Archive's written reviews are positive against 100% of Snap Timeline's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shortcut Archive ships an update monthly, Snap Timeline weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
