# EGO Connect vs CountdownerSMS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EGO Connect at none against CountdownerSMS's 8. EGO Connect also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (7.6K vs 5). CountdownerSMS's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CountdownerSMS sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. EGO Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

EGO Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EGO Connect has 7.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of EGO Connect's written reviews are positive against 100% of CountdownerSMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EGO Connect ships an update every 5 weeks, CountdownerSMS every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
