# Goal Tracker vs Focus Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Focus Timer at every 9 days against Goal Tracker's every 6 weeks. Goal Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goal Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Focus Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Goal Tracker against 4.6 for Focus Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Goal Tracker has 30 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Goal Tracker ships an update every 6 weeks, Focus Timer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
