# ShieldGen vs Secure Access

The clearest difference is monetization model: Secure Access at free with in-app purchases against ShieldGen's subscription. ShieldGen's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 67%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShieldGen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Secure Access sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secure Access holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 348 and 150 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of ShieldGen's written reviews are positive against 67% of Secure Access's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly daily. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
