# NOMO vs ReCat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ReCat at none against NOMO's 4. ReCat also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.4). NOMO's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (126 vs 17). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOMO sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ReCat asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReCat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOMO has 126 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of NOMO's written reviews are positive against 100% of ReCat's.

NOMO ships an update weekly, ReCat every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
