# FaceLink vs PixelJoy

The clearest difference is rating: FaceLink at 4.7 against PixelJoy's 3.5. FaceLink also leads on ratings volume (362 vs 22) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). PixelJoy's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 12%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FaceLink holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FaceLink has 362 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of FaceLink's written reviews are positive against 50% of PixelJoy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FaceLink ships an update every 3 weeks, PixelJoy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
