# Fun Widgets vs Hot Widgets

The clearest difference is ads: Hot Widgets at none against Fun Widgets's shown. Hot Widgets also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Fun Widgets's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (339 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fun Widgets sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Hot Widgets sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hot Widgets holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fun Widgets has 339 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fun Widgets ships an update weekly, Hot Widgets every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
