# BackCam vs Sunster

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sunster at 50% against BackCam's 0%. Sunster also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). BackCam's advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BackCam holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of BackCam's written reviews are positive against 50% of Sunster's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BackCam ships an update every 3 weeks, Sunster every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
