# TimeTableExpress vs Night Zookeeper

The clearest difference is monetization model: TimeTableExpress at free with in-app purchases against Night Zookeeper's subscription. TimeTableExpress also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). Night Zookeeper's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (616 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeTableExpress sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Night Zookeeper sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeTableExpress holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Night Zookeeper has 616 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of TimeTableExpress's written reviews are positive against 83% of Night Zookeeper's.

TimeTableExpress ships an update every 15 months, Night Zookeeper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
