# ESPC vs Core Xperience

The clearest difference is ads: Core Xperience at none against ESPC's shown. Core Xperience also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (37 vs 1). ESPC's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ESPC against 5.0 for Core Xperience. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Core Xperience has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ESPC ships an update every 11 months, Core Xperience every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
