# Aurora Hills vs Night 9

The clearest difference is price: Aurora Hills at Free against Night 9's $0.99. Aurora Hills also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 1). Night 9's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Aurora Hills is free to download; Night 9 costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aurora Hills holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aurora Hills has 4.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Aurora Hills's written reviews are positive against 100% of Night 9's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aurora Hills ships an update every 4 weeks, Night 9 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
