# Hubitat Elevation vs rootlet

The clearest difference is rating: rootlet at 5.0 against Hubitat Elevation's 4.1. Hubitat Elevation's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

rootlet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hubitat Elevation has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hubitat Elevation ships an update every 3 weeks, rootlet every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
