# Olong vs Earth Store

The clearest difference is monetization model: Olong at free against Earth Store's free with in-app purchases. Olong also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). Earth Store's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Olong against 5.0 for Earth Store. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Earth Store has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Olong ships an update every 3 months, Earth Store every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
