# Hopp vs Argo Transit

Hopp and Argo Transit both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 61% of Argo Transit's written reviews are positive against 11% of Hopp's. Hopp's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 10). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Argo Transit holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hopp has 7.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of Hopp's written reviews are positive against 61% of Argo Transit's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
