# Z Speech Pro 1 vs Visual Speech

The clearest difference is update cadence: Visual Speech at weekly against Z Speech Pro 1's every 5 weeks. Z Speech Pro 1's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Z Speech Pro 1 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visual Speech sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Z Speech Pro 1 against 5.0 for Visual Speech. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Z Speech Pro 1 has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Z Speech Pro 1 ships an update every 5 weeks, Visual Speech weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
