# Funqtion vs Gaytopia

Funqtion and Gaytopia both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Gaytopia's written reviews are positive against 60% of Funqtion's. Funqtion's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gaytopia holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funqtion has 91 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Funqtion's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gaytopia's.

Funqtion ships an update every 3 weeks, Gaytopia every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
