# PDF Field Guide vs Foramind

The clearest difference is update cadence: Foramind at fortnightly against PDF Field Guide's monthly. Foramind also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Field Guide sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Foramind sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Field Guide ships an update monthly, Foramind fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
