# Fosterate vs IHD

The clearest difference is update cadence: IHD at every 4 days against Fosterate's every 3 weeks. Fosterate's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fosterate ships an update every 3 weeks, IHD every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
