# Penal App vs Prodefy

The clearest difference is rating: Penal App at 4.4 against Prodefy's 4.0. Penal App also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). Prodefy's advantage is ratings volume (75 vs 14). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Penal App sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Prodefy sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Penal App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prodefy has 75 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Penal App ships an update every 4 days, Prodefy every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
