# MBCNOW vs 5GCtrl

The clearest difference is rating: MBCNOW at 5.0 against 5GCtrl's 4.1. MBCNOW also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). 5GCtrl's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5GCtrl sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. MBCNOW asks for nothing beyond the download.

MBCNOW holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 5GCtrl has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of MBCNOW's written reviews are positive against 70% of 5GCtrl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBCNOW ships an update every 3 weeks, 5GCtrl every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
