# MBCNOW vs Ping Opt

The clearest difference is rating: MBCNOW at 5.0 against Ping Opt's 3.8. MBCNOW also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Ping Opt's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 33%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ping Opt sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. MBCNOW asks for nothing beyond the download.

MBCNOW holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ping Opt has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of MBCNOW's written reviews are positive against 73% of Ping Opt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBCNOW ships an update every 3 weeks, Ping Opt weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
