# Cast vs Witcher

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cast at none against Witcher's 2. Cast also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%). Witcher's advantage is ratings volume (47 vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Witcher sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Cast asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Cast against 4.9 for Witcher. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Witcher has 47 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Cast's written reviews are positive against 80% of Witcher's.

Cast ships an update every 10 days, Witcher every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
