# Igloo vs Tag

The clearest difference is rating: Tag at 5.0 against Igloo's 3.7. Tag also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Igloo's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (119 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Igloo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Tag asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tag holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Igloo has 119 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Igloo ships an update every 2 weeks, Tag every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
