# Fitdrop vs Shortake

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Shortake at none against Fitdrop's 3. Shortake also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 68%). Fitdrop's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (135 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fitdrop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Shortake asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fitdrop holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fitdrop has 135 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Fitdrop's written reviews are positive against 79% of Shortake's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fitdrop ships an update fortnightly, Shortake weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
