# SafeKey vs Netbook

The clearest difference is update cadence: Netbook at every 2 days against SafeKey's every 4 days. Netbook also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SafeKey ships an update every 4 days, Netbook every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
