# W01 vs IR Heat Map

The clearest difference is rating: IR Heat Map at 3.0 against W01's 1.4. W01's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 0%) and ratings volume (16 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IR Heat Map holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: W01 has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of W01's written reviews are positive against 0% of IR Heat Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

W01 ships an update every 6 weeks, IR Heat Map every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
