# Coffee Bean Tracker vs Coffee Journal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Coffee Journal at every 5 days against Coffee Bean Tracker's every 5 weeks. Coffee Journal also leads on review sentiment (91% vs 67%) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coffee Bean Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Coffee Journal sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
