# Afiniii vs Kagi Assistant

The clearest difference is rating: Afiniii at 5.0 against Kagi Assistant's 4.5. Afiniii also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Kagi Assistant's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (42 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Afiniii sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Kagi Assistant sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $28.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Afiniii holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kagi Assistant has 42 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Afiniii ships an update every 3 weeks, Kagi Assistant every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
