# Golf Tee Times vs Rec

The clearest difference is rating: Rec at 5.0 against Golf Tee Times's 3.9. Rec also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Golf Tee Times's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (55 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf Tee Times sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Rec sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rec holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Tee Times has 55 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Golf Tee Times ships an update daily, Rec every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
