# OtherNet vs DudeVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: OtherNet at every 3 weeks against DudeVPN's every 2 months. OtherNet also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OtherNet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and DudeVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OtherNet ships an update every 3 weeks, DudeVPN every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
