# pOpshelf vs The LJ Collection

The clearest difference is monetization model: The LJ Collection at free against pOpshelf's free with in-app purchases. The LJ Collection also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). pOpshelf's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The LJ Collection holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: pOpshelf has 20K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

pOpshelf ships an update monthly, The LJ Collection every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
