# Simple Notes vs FocusStack

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FocusStack at none against Simple Notes's 1. FocusStack also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Simple Notes's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FocusStack asks for nothing beyond the download.

FocusStack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Notes has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
