# Simple Notes vs MojiDo

The clearest difference is rating: MojiDo at 5.0 against Simple Notes's 4.6. Simple Notes's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MojiDo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MojiDo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Notes has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simple Notes ships an update every 2 weeks, MojiDo weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
