# Audiobook Summary vs VisualMind

The clearest difference is monetization model: VisualMind at free with in-app purchases against Audiobook Summary's subscription. VisualMind also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 5). Audiobook Summary's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Audiobook Summary sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $59.99 per year and VisualMind sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Audiobook Summary holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VisualMind has 3.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
